Creative Curriculum

Eagle Valley Child Care Creative CurriculumCreative Curriculum is based on child development theory and addresses guidelines for a developmentally appropriate program (Developed by the National Association for the Education of Young Children).  Creative Curriculum emphasizes learning through play, and focuses on growth and development in the following categories: social-emotional, physical, cognitive, and language.

Dinosaur SchoolClassrooms are set up for exploration and learning.  Children will have opportunities to make choices about materials and interact with others.  Classrooms are organized into different centers or areas of play.  Each of these centers addresses the goals and objectives of the curriculum: dramatic play, blocks, science, fine motor/manipulative, library/cozy corner, music, and art.  As your child interacts with classroom materials and with their peers, he/she is building competence in the goals and objectives of Creative Curriculum’s four domains.

Our centers encourage children to observe, take things apart, build, and discover.  The more active children are in their work, the more they learn and remember.  As children interact with their environment, teachers listen, talk, and encourage them.  From these interactions, teachers can offer additional activities within the classroom that will challenge children’s learning and interests.
